My husband and I are the youth pastors at our church and have been blessed to watch Victoria grow into an awesome young woman! We’ve known her since middle school and seeing her start her first semester of college is surreal! With my being pregnant the majority of last year and having my first son this past March, it was a little bit difficult to schedule her session. So, we finally met a week or two ago for her senior portrait session!

Victoria wanted to head downtown for her senior portrait session and so we did! We started down on Commerce Street outside of Interiors by Moyanne’s studio. The charming columns and portico facade, gray painted brick, and blush pink door was the perfect backdrop for her first outfit! Our second stop was the Bluffwalk for her cap and gown images! The Allied Arts building on Church Street has become a favorite location for my sessions lately! I love the smooth teal colored marble and the concrete steps! After the sun had set, we headed back down to the main street parking garage for a few night time photos with some edge! I hadn’t brought a flash with me for this session so I did a little on-the-spot lighting with my camera flashlight! Sometimes the best images are the ones you create with quick thinking!

Victoria has wanted to be a teacher as long as I’ve known her and she explored that role this past year through assisting in a local classroom! She loved it and will be completing her education degree through the University of Lynchburg! This year she’ll be joining our college group at church and I’m looking forward to walking alongside with her for the next four years!
